The Velux Self Flashing Fixed Skylight is a deck mounted skylight. It comes with an integrated aluminum pan flashing, which installs directly to the roof deck. The Velux Self Flashing Fixed Skylight installs on a pitched roof deck with asphalt shingles.
There is no need to use an additional flashing kit with this skylight. The flashing system is already integrated onto the unit, which makes for a quicker and easier installation. Velux Self Flashing Fixed Skylights are built for shingled roof application only and can be installed both horizontally, or vertically. These units have a minimum pitch requirement of 14 degrees (3/12).
