Bottom plates come standard with 18ga 304 stainless base plate and a 5″ high 24ga collar. National Chimney nose cones are designed to fit over the liner.     I have a 12×12 clay chimney flue i recently put in a wood stove insert with a 6 in liner would the product be the right fit for that? Because the one that they have up there now when it was installed I don’t like it it’s put onto the cap with the sealant and then the 6 inch cap itself is then put onto the collar with more sealant so in order for me to clean my liner I have to take it apart and get all the sealant off this one looks like it screws on so I won’t have an issue Just asking before I go ahead and buy something that I’m not sure about

    Yes, the National Chimney EZ Flue Fit Top Plate would be a perfect fit for that situation. This plate is secured onto the flue with the screws, and the cap is secured onto the collar with the EZ band. It would make removal and disassembly much easier.
    2. Regarding: National Chimney EZ Flue Fit Top Plate, 24ga 304, Item# NCTPEZFF: Is the “Width” the diameter of the flue pipe that it fits? I’m looking for a cap that will fit on a clay chimney flue liner that has an 8 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ outside dimension. It needs to also fit onto a 6″ stainless steel chimney flue that is inside the clay chimney liner. Will this particular product meet those parameters?

    Yes, the width refers to the diameter of the liner. For your situation you would need the 9″ x 9″ top plate with the 6″ width. The National Chimney EZ Flue Top Plate has adjustable set screws that would tighten down to 8-1/2″ x 8-1/2″.

    Was not created to dimensions requested. Was 3/8-1/2in larger in both square portion and in curcular adapter. Would have appreciated a more precise fit
